Privacy policy.
The short version: we collect your email when you give it to us, we use it to tell you about cans, and that's the whole scheme.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the list on this site.
- Your name, email, and message, when you write to us through the contact form or directly.
- An age confirmation, stored only in your own browser (localStorage) so we don't ask you twice. It never leaves your device and we never see it.
That's it. No accounts, no profiles, no purchase history — there's nothing to purchase yet.
What we do with it
We use your email to send launch announcements, stockist alerts, and the occasional piece of correspondence written in the voice you've seen on this site. We use contact-form messages to reply to you.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Your data does not get passed around like a communal bag of limes.
Cookies & tracking
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising pixels. The only thing stored in your browser is the age-gate confirmation described above.
Third parties
A few pieces of this site are served by other companies, which may process standard technical data (like your IP address) when they load:
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on every page (Google's privacy policy).
- Google Maps — the blurred territory map on the Find Us page (same policy as above).
- Our email service provider — the list is stored and sent through a reputable email platform, which processes it on our behalf and nobody else's.
Your rights
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that works on the first click. You can also ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely — write to hola@thedancinggringo.com and we'll comply promptly and without commentary on your dance history.
Age
This site and this list are for people 21 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the changes appear on this page with a new effective date. We won't get clever about it.
